Gauteng South Africa

Situated within the World Heritage Site, the “Cradle of Humankind”, the natural scenic beauty of Glenburn Lodge & Spa makes this venue the ideal setting for our 5th edition of the summer school. The lodge is within easy access (approx. 10km) from Maropeng where Homo Naledi, a species of human relative, was discovered in a cave in the Cradle of Humankind.
The venue is home to kudu, impala, blue wildebeest, eland, red hartebeest, springbok, gemsbok, zebra, as well as a fascinating array of bird life. There are nature walks on the property, a spa, as well as many other amenities.
Glenburn Lodge & Spa has become one of the venues of choice in Gauteng for hot air ballooning safaris, due to the favourable flying conditions.
